Greierele, furnica si alegerile

Povestea de mai jos am primit-o prin email de la jolygoodjokes, un site de umor din Republica Sud Africana. Se pare ca si la ei vor fi alegeri in 2009. Am sa traduc pt acei cititori care nu stiu engleza (Mihaela, special pt tine) la sfarsitul fiecarui paragraf si am sa pun culoarea albastra pt textul in romana.

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

Furnica munceste din greu in arsita cat e vara de lunga, construindu-si casa si adunand provizii in camara. Greierele crede ca furnica e o proasta si rade, canta si danseaza toata vara. Cand vine iarna furnica sta satula la caldurica. Greierele, flamand si fara casa,moare inghetat de frig.

Pt primul paragraf, vezi traducerea de mai sus pana la "cand vine iarna"

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

Cand vine iarna greierele tremurand de frig organizeaza o conferinta de presa si cere sa afle de ce are furnica permisiunea sa stea satula la caldura in timp ce altii stau in frig si mor de foame.

SABC1, 2 and 3 show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshoppernext to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. The world is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Toate canalele de televiziune transmit de la fata locului imagini cu greierele rebegit si video cu furnica la masa plina de bunatati in casa ei cea confortabila. Lumea e socata de contrast. Cum e posibil una ca asta, intr-o tara atat de bogata, acest biet greiere sa sufere atat?

Kermit the Frog appears on Good Morning with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Apare si Kermit the Frog in emisiunea lui "Buna dimineata" impreuna cu greierele si toata lumea plange cand ei canta "Nu-i usor sa fii verde" (pentru ca aici nu e vorba de greierele nostru ci de o alta insecta,de culoare verde, numita cosash)

Demonstrations are held in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.'

Se tin demonstratii in fata casei furnicii unde canalele de stiri filmeaza grupul care canta "Vom invinge"

TV commentators explain that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and there are calls for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Comentatorii TV au explicat ca furnica s-a imbogatit pe spinarea greierelui, si ca sunt cereri ca sa se mareasca imediat impozitele si taxele platite de furnica pt a plati asa cum e corect si drept.

Finally, the Government drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugsand, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government and handed to relatives of the grasshopper.

In final Guvernul voteaza retroactiv pt inceputul verii Legea de Echitate Economica si Anti-greiere (cred ca aici e o greseala si trebuia sa fie Anti-furnica). Furnica este amendata pt ca nu a angajat un numar proportional de insecte verzi (aluzie la populatia de culoare din RSA) si, pt ca nu are cu ce sa-si plateasca taxele retroactive, casa ii este confiscata de guvern si data rudelor greierelui.

The grashopper instigates a lawsuit against the ant, and the case is tried under the watchfull eyes of the trade unions.

Greierele o da pe furnica in judecata si cazul este judecat sub atenta supraveghere a sindicatelor.

The ant loses the case.

Furnica pierde procesul.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow.

Povestea se termina cu noi privind cum greierele termina ultima bucatica din agoniseala furnicii in timp ce casa pe care i-a dat-o guvernul si care a fost a furnicii se darama in jurul lui pt ca el n-a facut nimic s-ointretina in buna stare. Furnica a disparut in zapada.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighbourhood.

Greierele e descoperit mort intr-un incident legat de droguri si casa, acum abandonata, devine sediul unei bande de paianjeni care terorizeaza cartierul candva pasnic.

Fii FOARTE atent cum votezi in 2009!

Si acum fara nici o legatura cu cele de mai sus, sau poate una f vaga legata de traducere, am prins aseara la ProTV sfarsitul filmului "Nomadul", un film istoric despre unificarea Kazahstanului. Mi-a parut rau ca nu l-am vazut de la inceput, cred ca era f interesant, dar am incredere in reprogramari. Amintesc acum de el pt ca, desi vorbit in engleza, se auzea f clar ca e vorba de CAZAHI, iar pe subtitrare aparea permanent CAZACI. Nu stiu daca a fost vina traducatorului sau a dactilografei (ca nu pot sa-i spun altfel stiut fiind ca pe vremea mea existau dactilografe si cu 7 clase) dar o asemenea confuzie e mai mult decat suparatoare, e chiar condamnabila, fiind vorba de un film istoric.
