Arborele Iudei

Poate nu e prima data cand vedeti aici, pe blog, imagini ale acestui arbore atat de ciudat. E  un neam de leguminoasa, ruda buna cu salcamul si...fasolea. Florile lui roz inchis, aproape violete, ies direct din coaja copacului, de parca tasnesc grabite la lumina, fara sa mai astepte sa ajunga pe ramuri (ok, cele mai multe totusi se afla pe ramuri. Il stiu de mult, inca de prin anul al treilea de serviciu, cand treceam pe langa o curte unde primavara se imbraca in flori ca intr-o haina. Am aflat cum il cheama intr-o primavara, cand am vazut pe o placuta numele sau; Arborele Iudei.

Dar numai anul acesta am fost curioasa sa il intreb pe Tata Google ce stie despre pom si despre numele sau. unii zic ca numele ii vine de la stalcirea denumirii de Iudeea, cei mai multi il leaga de legenda potrivit caruia de ramurile sale s-ar fi spanzurat Iuda dupa ce l-a tradat pe Iisus. N-o sa va spun aici cum si unde se planteaza, destul ca eu l-am vazut dealungul anilor atat in Gradina Botanica precum si in Cismigiu. Mai jos am copiat din Bibiliile online in romana si engleza trista poveste a lui Iuda precum si legenda arborelui de care se spune ca s-a spanzurat.

Matei  Capitolul 27
1. Iar făcându-se dimineaţă, toţi arhiereii şi bătrânii poporului au ţinut sfat împotriva lui Iisus, ca să-L omoare.
2. Şi, legându-L, L-au dus şi L-au predat dregătorului Ponţiu Pilat.
3. Atunci Iuda, cel ce L-a vândut, văzând că a fost osândit, s-a căit şi a adus înapoi arhiereilor şi bătrânilor cei treizeci de arginţi,
4. Zicând: Am greşit vânzând sânge nevinovat. Ei i-au zis: Ce ne priveşte pe noi? Tu vei vedea.
5. Şi el, aruncând arginţii în templu, a plecat şi, ducându-se, s-a spânzurat.

For thirty pieces of silver was Our Lord betrayed, as prophecied  by Zacharias: 1

    Zacharias 11:9 -12
    I will not feed you: that which dieth, let it die: and that which is cut off, let it be cut off: and let the rest devour every one the flesh of his neighbour. And I took my rod that was called Beauty, and I cut it asunder to make void my covenant, which I had made with all people. And it was made void in that day: and so the poor of the flock that keep for me, understood that it is the word of the Lord. And I said to them: If it be good in your eyes, bring hither my wages: and if not, be quiet. And they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

    And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve. And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray Him to them. And they were glad, and convenanted to give him money. And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude (see also John 13:2).

Matthew 26:6-15
    And when Jesus was in Bethania, in the house of Simon the leper, There came to Him a woman having an alabaster box of precious ointment, and poured it on His head as He was at table.

    And the disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying: To what purpose is this waste? For this might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

    And Jesus knowing it, said to them: Why do you trouble this woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For the poor you have always with you: but me you have not always. For she in pouring this ointment upon my body, hath done it for my burial. Amen I say to you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which she hath done, shall be told for a memory of her.

    Then went one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests, And said to them: What will you give me, and I will deliver him unto you? But they appointed him thirty pieces of silver.

Matt 27:3-10
3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.
4 "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Cercis siliquastrum


The redbud trees came and asked the Lord a favor. Since the great traitor Judas Iscariot had hung himself on this tree, they asked the Lord to ensure that never happened again.

The Lord agreed. Henceforth, all redbud trees have grown short in stature, with limbs thin and low to the ground, unsuitable for hangings.

Also, because of the request, the Lord also caused crimson blooms to burst out along the branches like rivulets of blood, to remind one of the blood Christ shed for the sins of the world, and the innocent blood betrayed by Judas. And the leaves henceforth would grow in the shape of hearts, to remind all who look of the endless and boundless love of God for our lost race.

Arborii cu muguri rosii (redbud) au venit la Iisus sa-i ceara o favoare. Pentru ca marele tradator Iuda s-a spanzurat de acest pom, ei i-a ucerut lui Iisus sa ii asigure ca asta nu se va mai intampla niciodata.

Iisus a fost de acord. De atunci toti pomii cu muguri rosii (redbud) au crescut mici de inaltime, cu ramuri subtiri si apropiate de pamant, ca sa nu se poata nimeni spanzura de ele (Nota personala: Arborii pe care i-am vazut eu in Bucuresti sunt totusi destul de inalti).

De asemenea, din cauza cererii acesteia Iisus a facut ca buchetele (stacojii, zice textul, ele sunt mai degraba roz liliachii) sa rasara dealungul ramurilor (rasar direct din coaja copacului) ca niste raulete de sange, ca sa aminteasca de sangele pe care Hristos l-a varsat pt pacatele lumii, si sangele nevinovat tradat de Iuda. Si frunzele de atunci cresc in forma de inima, ca sa le aminteasca tuturor celor care se uita de dragostea nesfarsita si netarmurita a lui Dumnezeu pentru rasa noastra pierduta.
