Unul ca Putin

Cineva a pus un link intr-un comentariu. Cantecul e antrenant, textul e interesant. Am cautat textul in rusa, apoi in engleza. Traducerile in engleza nu m-au satisfacut, le-am combinat, apoi folosindu-ma atat de cunostintele mele de rusa, cat si de cele de engleza, am tradus in romana. Rezultatul il puteti vedea mai jos:

My boyfriend has got himself into trouble again:
Got in a fight, got drunk on something nasty
I'm so fed up with him, I dumped him,
And now I want a man like Putin

One like Putin, full of strength
One like Putin, who won't be a drunk
One like Putin, who wouldn't hurt me
One like Putin, who won't run away!

I've seen him on the news last night
He was telling us that the world has come to crossroads
With one like him, it's easy to be home and out
And now I want a man like Putin

One like Putin, full of strength
One like Putin, who won't be a drunk
One like Putin, who wouldn't hurt me
One like Putin, who won't run away!

Romana

Flacaul meu iar e in necaz
S-a batut, s-a imbatat cu o porcarie
Asa m-am saturat ca l-am alungat
Si-acuma vreau unul ca Putin

Unul ca Putin,
pentru ca are toata puterea

“A boy was watching his grandmother write a letter. At one point he asked:

‘Are you writing a story about what we’ve done? Is it a story about me?’
His grandmother stopped writing her letter and said to her grandson:
I am writing about you, actually, but more important than the words is the pencil I’m using. I hope you will be like this pencil when you grow up.’

Intrigued, the boy looked at the pencil. It didn’t seem very special.
‘But it’s just like any other pencil I’ve ever seen!’

‘That depends on how you look at things. It has five qualities which, if you manage to hang on them, will make you a person who is always at peace with the world.’

‘First quality: you are capable of great things, but you must never forget that there is a hand guiding your steps. We call that hand God, and He always guides us according to His will.’
‘Second quality: now and then, I have to stop writing and use a sharpner. That makes the pencil suffer a little, but afterwards, he’s much sharper. So you, too, must learn to bear certain pains and sorrows, because they will make you a better person.
‘Third quality: the pencil always allows us to use an eraser to rub out any mistakes. This means that correcting something we did is not necessarily a bad thing; it helps to keep us on the road to justice.’
‘Fourth quality: what really matters in a pencil is not its wooden exterior, but the graphite inside. So always pay attention to what is happening inside you.’
‘Finally, the pencil’s fifth quality: it always leaves a mark. in just the same way, you should know that everything you do in life will leave a mark, so try to be conscious of that in your every action”
― Paulo Coelho, Like the Flowing River

E o poveste despre mine?
Are cinci calitati care, daca reusesti sa le urmezi, te vor face sa traiesti in pace cu toata lumea.

In sfarsit, a cincea calitate a creionului: totdeauna lasa o urma. Exact in acest mod trebuie sa stii ca orice faci in viata lasa o urma, asa ca incearca sa fii constient de asta in fiecare actiune a ta."

Paulo Coelho- Ca un rau care curge.

O sa incerc sa traduc mai tarziu in romana. Deocamdata public in engleza...

Azi TVR1 ne-a facut un cadou superb, concertul tinut pe 9 Februarie 2014 tribute to The Beatles, ‘The Beatles: The Night That Changed America.’

Concertul s-a incheiat cu

Ringo Starr - With A Little Help From My Friends

http://youtu.be/NGjxjr6YCPo

What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mmm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

What do I do when my love is away
Does it worry you to be alone?
How do I feel by the end of the day
Are you sad because you're on your own?

No, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mmm, get by with a little help from my friends
Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody?
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody?
I want somebody to love

Would you believe in a love at first sight?
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light?
I can't tell you but I know it's mine

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mmm, get by with a little help from my friends
Oh, I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody?
I just need someone to love
Could it be anybody?
I want somebody to love

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends
With a little help from my friends

Despite a two-hour parade of musical tributes featuring the biggest names from every genre of modern popular music, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney effortlessly stole the show at ‘The Beatles: The Night That Changed America.’

Starr’s three-song set served as a reminder of just how charming and charismatic a live frontman the Fab Four’s drummer has become. He followed the night’s theme of celebrating the 50th anniversary of his former group’s first appearance on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’ by performing two songs — ‘Matchbox’ and ‘Boys’ — that could have been in their set lists at that time. Then he traveled ahead a couple of years to lead the crowd in a massive ‘Yelllow Submarine’ singalong.

McCartney and his crack / fantastic / awesome / however you want to say it solo band kicked off their set with the totally appropriate ‘Birthday.’ After an energetic reading of ‘Get Back,’ he launched into the theme song from ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,’ which of course led into… ‘With a Little Help From My Friends,’ with Starr (err, sorry, Billy Shears) returning to take over lead vocals.

The duo then invited everyone who had performed earlier in the night — including Joe Walsh, Jeff Lynne, Kenny Aronoff, Steve Lukather of Toto and Peter Frampton — for a big ‘Hey Jude’ finale. The latter three musicians, together with Don Was, served as part of the backing band for much of the night, providing support for performances by Brad Paisley, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry and others.

In between the performances — which were highlighted by Walsh and Gary Clark Jr.’s guitar duel on ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps,’ Dave Grohl‘s heartfelt ‘Hey Bullldog’ and a pleasantly lively and creative acoustic rendition of ‘Revolution’ by Imagine Dragons — McCartney and Starr were shown being interviewed by Dave Letterman. These talks were particularly poignant since they were conducted at the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Letterman currently films his ‘Late Show’ program.

McCartney told a particularly funny story about the backstage scene just moments before the group’s legendary Feb. 9, 1964 performance. Apparently Paul was “standing there, all prepared, with my guitar, ready to go on,” when a Teamster in charge of pulling back the curtain decided to get more involved. “He says, ‘are you nervous?’ I said, ‘no, not really’.. lying.” To which the man responded, “Well you should be, there’s 73 million people watching!”

Hristos a Inviat!

The Silence of Love de Han Yong-un

Eu am ales doar doua variante in engleza, dupa una dintre ele am facut propria mea traducere in romana, si m-am bucurat ca exista si varianta in coreeana.

The Silence of Love. (Nim-ŭi Ch’immuk, 1926)

- Han Yong-un (pseudonim Manhae)

Love is gone, gone is my love.
Tearing himself away from me he has gone
on a little path that stretches in the splendor of
a green hill into the autumn-tinted forest.
Our last oath, shining and enduring
like a gold-mosaicked flower,
has turned to cold ashes, blown away
in the breath of wind.
I remember his poignant first kiss and its memory
has wrought a complete change in my destiny,
then withdrawn into oblivion.
I hear not his sweet voice; I see not his fair looks.
Since it is human to love, I, alert, dreaded a
parting to come when we met.
The separation came so suddenly
it broke my heart with renewed sorrow.
Yet, I know parting can only destroy our love if
it causes futile tears to fall.
I would rather transfer the surge of this sorrow
onto the summit of hopefulness.
As we dread parting when we meet, so,
we promise to meet again when we part.
Though my love is gone, I am not parted from love;

Dragostea mea a plecat, dusa e iubirea mea.
S-a rupt de mine si a plecat departe
pe o cararuie ce serpuieste in splendoarea
unei coline verzi in padurea colorata de toamna.
Ultimul nostru juramant, stralucitor si rabdator
ca o floare aurie,
s-a prefacut in cenusa, si-a zburat
suflat de vant.
Imi amintesc arsura primului lui sarut si amintirea lui
Mi-a schimbat complet destinul
pe urma a disparut in uitare.
Nu-i mai aud vocea dulce, nu-i mai vad pletele blonde.
Mai degraba as trasforma valul acesta de suparare

A second version of this poem is also available as My Lord’s Silence, expressing deep religious (Buddhist) faith. I am pleased to provide it here for our Readers & Followers.

My Lord’s Silence

My Lord has gone. O, my dear Lord has left.
Breaking away the azure color of hills, my Lord has departed on foot
On the tiny trail toward maple woods, hesitantly dragging himself away.
The age-old oath, firm and gleaming like golden flowers, turned to chaff
And with a of sigh of breeze, it was blown away.

The memory of a jolting first kiss that changed the direction of my fate,
Now has disappeared, walking backward.
My eyes and ears were numbed by your sweet words and flowery face.

For love is a human affair, about parting I was nor unwary nor without caution.
Yet my Lord’s departure was sudden, and my startled heart burst into sorrow.

Even so, for I know letting this parting ‘bootless source of tears’
Might itself blight the spirit of my love,
I changed gear of the force in this unbearable sorrow
And poured it into the scoop of “Hope”.

As we care about parting when we meet, so do we believe in “reunion” when we part.
Ah, my Lord has left, yet I’ve not sent him.

The melodious love tune, not able to overcome its own rhyme
Just circles around in My Lord’s Silence.

Lovers - it's not goodbye
Laura Pausini

Now what if I never kiss your lips again
Or feel the touch of your sweet embrace
How would I ever go on?
Without you there's no place to belong

Well someday love is going to lead you back to me
But till it does I'll have an empty heart
So I'll just have to believe
Some where out there you're thinkin' of me

Till the day I let you go
Until we say our next hello its not goodbye
Till I see you again
I'll be right here remembering when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry on down the road
There is one thing I can't deny its not goodbye

You think I'd be strong enough to make it through
And rise above when the rain falls down
But its so hard to be strong
When you've been missing somebody so long

Its just a matter of time I'm sure
Well time takes time and I can't hold on
So won't you try as hard as you can
Put my broken heart together again?

Till the day I let you go
Until we say our next hello its not goodbye
Till I see you again
I'll be right here remembering when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry on down the road
There is one thing I can't deny its not goodbye

Hey, yeah its not goodbye, ooh

Till the day I'll let you go
Until we say our next hello its not goodbye
Till I see you again
I'll be right here remembering when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry on down the road
And I can't deny it's, not goodbye

Till the day I'll let you go
Until we say our next hello its not goodbye
Till I see you
I'll be right here remembering when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry on down the road
And I can't deny it's, not goodbye

It's, not goodbye
Goodbye
No more tears to cry
Its not goodbye

Mi-a placur mult si poza, tonica si optimista.

Health enough to make work a pleasure.
Wealth enough to support your needs.
Strength to battle with difficulties and overcome them.
Grace enough to confess your sins and forsake them.
Patience enough to toil until some good is accomplished.
Charity enough to see some good in your neighbor.
